Singapore's first ship built heavy lift air cushion barge

Singapore Hovertrans Solutions Ltd. recently completed the first modular heavy lift air cushion barge fleet. The air cushion barge 34 meters long, 17 meters wide, a payload of 50 tons. Because a flying height of 1.8 meters, so the air cushion barge can sail the high sea conditions and can overcome the obstacles on the land. With conventional high-speed hovercraft is not the same as the air cushion barge is steel, so the need for the oil and gas industry strength. The air cushion barge is at a temperature as low as minus 40 degrees Celsius cold weather operation and design. The air cushion barge in the pond, wetlands, tundra, ice, dry rivers and shallow water transport heavy cargo or equipment, can be used for oil and gas exploration and development of remote oil and gas fields. The air cushion barge is also used to co-operate in environmentally sensitive areas trade.
